From what I understand you are saying that once we can load iso dumps from ms (Xecuter) all we just have to do is to edit the sfo part which says what firmware version is needed to boot and then we dont have to upate?

I think you should still keep ogg playback but scrap mp3 as we can already do that and add support for flac and mpc.

flac - lossles codec
mpc - best lossy codec at mid-high
ogg - good opensourced codec which is good at low bitartes with say aotuv beta 4

I downloaded rin 1.18 src and rin 1.18 binary from psphacker.com and I compiled rin but when i compare the eboot I created to the eboot of psphacker there different. I installed ps2dev win32 enviroment that contains most of the tools. So now I am stuck on creating the .bat which compiles the sources? I have the compilers and sources, I just don't know how to make the bat which compiles it?, Any ideas? Soz if it sounds like a n00b question its pretty hard to unde...
