If it isn't a SNES emulator, it's commandline access or toaster integration!

sq377 - the mods are just angry because their tidy, knowledgable forums has recently turned into a pool of noob questions, rumours and lies :)

These PS2Dev people don't know anything about internenet.

These guys will be happy to help, I'm sure: http://www.psinext.com/forums/

And perhaps mention which DNS IPs you're trying - maybe someone can confirm they work.

Find a picture of a UMD and then look a PS2 disk.
Then come back and don't ask again :)

That's kinda like asking if a Minidisc will play in a CD player.
Please test and let us know how it goes ;)

uhhh... YES.

In the eyes of the law, this is stealing.

Even if the individual/company allows it, it is probably in breach of their ISP's TOS.

Also, Sony are not fools. Honest :) If I could buy PSP-Linux and download emulators then I probably wouldn't buy any PSP games! I can barely afford to atm anyway! Free Genesis/NES/SNES/N64 emus will keep people happy for years. Also, I have tested a Playstation1 emulator with (a legal copy of) Brian...

Every PSP user would have it instantly. d) The developer would be too l33t to call it 1.0. We would first see endless 0.xx releas...

it's a shame PSP General has to go. Not everything fits into Dev and it would be nice to have a PSP forum where intelligent, technical discussion can take place. Stickies needed for PSP discussion

Mods, I think the PSP forums need some sticky threads. Something along the lines of 'READ ME BEFORE POSTING', as loads of people are finding the forums and mistaking it for a general PSP board filled with clever people who can answer their every question :^) Examples: http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewto...

No it does not support Java. The implications are indeed obvious :P Having "some kind of Java VM" isn't really an option for the Wipeout/PSP browser, as no one really knows what the browser is - never mind how to integrate some sort of Java VM. The best bet would be to port a Mozilla brows...

This has been asked before.

The answer is that it is a PSP-native OS.
Although Sony have 'borrowed' some open code. Most notably some TCP/IP code from NetBSD.

Windows on the PSP? I don't think Sony / MS are close enough for this to happen ;)

I think you are forgetting piracy. This is main reason Sony tries to keep things tight. If people can write an NDS emulator - what would it take to port a PS1 emulator?
