I would try it with mine, since I hate the damn background colors not being interchangeable, but my PSP is 1.5. So until there is a workaround for the 1.5 signing I can't do a damned thing.

Now if the files are dumped to the memstick, would that in essence be able to be reconstructed into a firmware 'downgrade' for those of us stuck on 1.5? How many PSPs have you gone through? Perhaps just a string of bad luck? A friend of mine had the same issues with motherboards for computers. Its BS. First off, it didnt work. Secondly, its funny how Settings Reset (Above Settings Diagnostics) has the same icon as the Network Settings selection. Oh and where did that happen to go?

Well I took apart the UMD Sampler disc that came with PSP. First thing I noticed was that the metal plate in the center of the UMD disc, is rather permanent (perhaps I didn't try hard enough to remove it).
