That won't happen. 1) You're gonna have a hard time finding the right Rambus XDR ram chips. Ignoring your last two points, I wasn't even able to source denser XDR chips then the 512Mb that are on the board... so at least for now it's not even feasible from that aspect. Is there anything in the hardware stopping someone from say, desoldering the RAM (hot air?) and then using the toaster oven reflow method to put larger capacity chips on there?
