An ide harddrive for playing divx on the psp? Do they give out crack instead of chocolate for easter nowadays? Did you miss the part that says 'portable'? Buy a personal media player instead already, sheesh. Crack for easter... XD! What he meant though, I think, is the capability to stream media fr...

What is neat about that idea is ...lets say you could view the UMD content of wipeout ..well all you would have to do is remove the wipeout game and replace it with another game or umd movie...because you see after I connected to internet with the wipeout browser I removed the wipeout UMD and I cou...

Can the PSP image viewer handle PNGs as well? If so, I think it would be much more efficient to use that format instead. Smaller file size and better quality. :D JPEG is better for photos, but PNG is better in this case (lots of same colour). JPEG: 18.2 KB http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/Agen...

Does SonicStage encode ATRAC3+ format? If so, perhaps Sony only wants to play back ATRAC3+ (not just normat ATRAC3) for DRM purposes. If you are desparate to play an ATRAC3 file though, just call it SND0.AT3 in a save-game! There seems to be no restriction on bitrate/filesize for SND0.AT3. I don't ...

About the open-source stuff -- apparently, Sony used parts of NetBSD for the PSP's "communications functions". A link to the NetBSD license is found in the user's manual (http://www.scei.co.jp/psp-license/pspnet.txt).

I believe the SND0.AT3 found on the memstick is an ATRAC3plus file. Encoding an ATRAC3 file and calling it SND0.AT3 does the job too. e.g. http://pdc.me.uk/psp/brit_at3/SND0.AT3 :) Edit: forgot to mention, ATRAC3 codec available here: http://www.minidisc.org/atrac3.zip And despite having what is cl...
