Ok, I did some research I guess the dev units dont have a UMD drive but a unit in place of it that has a parallel cable to stream the data. So I still dont see how Paradox would rip a UMD with a dev unit. They would have to have the stolen code, or some way to export the data from a standard PSP. So...

I thought that ALL the dev kits were hardwareless. I dont remember where I read it but I remember reading that in an effort to controll the UMD manufacture sony was only making dev kits with a very slow emulator. I could be wrong since Im not in the game industry and have no access to such a dev kit.

Ok, dont try to turn this around on me as none of us are willing to sacrifice a PSP yet. So note the wour THOUGHT. Has anyone THOUGHT about the possibility of connecting the the UMD drive to the IDE controller board in a normal DVD drive. I dont know enouh electronics to be able to speculate on it's...

Correction, it is NOT cracked. According to the actual .nfo files they are non executable. Technicaly they are useless to the wanabees and warez kiddies. The interesting part is that Paradox either has code fully working to stream data from the UMD to a remote location or memory stick(asuming it isn...

Just a thought, suposedly Moneky Island booted, how I dont know since noone even knows the memory addresses for the video... But if someone DOES have code running, wouldnt a simpler approch be to try to use software to read the bios. We know it can be written from software and surly they have somewa...

I dont know how sony thinks, but this is how I would do things, so it may be worth having a look at the possibilities. I would the bios stored encrypted so that it decrypts at it's load point. I have worked with Risc processors before and I dont belive I have never seen this functionality as part of...

I can confirm the browser has no media support (mp3, avi, mp4 etc) built in. That isnt uncommon, I mena Frirefox and IE neither have media capabilities built in. The full version of the browser (the 2.0 bios, the 1.7 will be released in summer and 2.0 in late fall) will utilize the built in media fu...
