partition a PSP Memory stick
Wow, it been awhile since I been here, but the forum is moving slow as ever. I have a question: Is there away make a partition ms for the psp? I userstand that I have to code to trick the psp into thinking its loading a non-fix memory stick, but is it possible? This can be a good idea for those with...

PSP Slim has 64mb of ram. Idk if it would work on the phats. But having a game engine dont always mean it wont work. All people have todo is keep the polygon count down.jsharrad wrote:I'd like to see that happen with 24mb of ram.
It might be best to test it on the Ps2 first, then move onto the the psp.

Making devhook work for m33 cfw?
I know that devhook (use back in the 1.50 days) was use to emulate/run higher firmwares. Is it possible to make devhook work for the psp slim? Are there any risk in this case if it is possible ([Semi]brick, corrupted memory stick, etc)? I know that the psar dumper can re rewritten to dump the prx bu...

5.55 ofw patch?
today, I extracted and try to upgrade to 5.55 manually, but it will show the same error as it would on loading G.I Joe (80020148 - Unknown PRX Type). Idk if I did it right or not, but could it be that sony made it so that it will read something from the psp that made it show that error?

Re: Maximum Texture Size
what is the maximum size of a texture that the gu will accept. I plan on loading a lvl map background that will probably over a 1000x600 pixels and maybe more that will be bigger and i want to know if the gu will be able to handle this edit: just tried it and it doesn't work on an image that is 992...

Does it look like I care what anyone says? Sadly not... Anyway, Sony can't patch the UMD once it has been printed, granted, but they can (and have, in all the previous user mode exploits) patch the firmware so that the exploit doesn't work. And also, the reason that it works in 5.55 is probably the...

Sony PSP Go could have some new security features build within it. Medal of Honor Exploit is good, but we must find a away to use the kernal mode. For now, usermode is good for developers to make emulators. You can also access the ram in VSH mode (if the exploit even allow thats), or someone can mak...

5.51-5.55 Explot - Medal of Honor : Any good?
As one current exploit couldnt be patch that was in 5.51, it seems like it works in 5.55 ofw. http://www.psp-hacks.com/2009/08/09/psp-firmware-5-55-still-vulnerable-to-mohh-exploit/ Is there any use of this exploit to users? Could it help to aleast make a HEN version of 5.55 so users can run it on t...

DC6 Function - Test M33
Hey, I have a question about the Test M33 function in DC6 source.
Under the switch case, it only have "sctrlKernelExitVSH(NULL);". How does this be use to launch the 4.01m33 in DC6? Is it safe, and will it cause any harm to the psp if the files located there are corrupted?

I don't think that would be a nice idea. Do you imagine the amount of encryption/decryption load required to do an encrypted RAM? That would be foolish from Sony, and PSP wouldn't be able to handle that at a decent speed. Not to talk about the games and all the 3D calcs + encryption/decryption load...

maybe but it wouldn't be that hard to bypass, as they would need to write a function for the older games, and we could just find and use that function But even if they write a function for it, it still need to be encrypted with a rsa key. Knowing if the AES keys are located within the psp hardware,...
