Flipping the Screen (actually rotating 180 degrees)
Hello, I am working on an application that would benefit highly from being able to flip the PSP's screen 180 degrees. I did some searches and research but came to dead ends. Can anyone point in the right direction as to how I could accomplish this?

Some good things to know. Glad I asked first before I dove right in. I suppose sticking with ZIP might be the best option, since its widely used and doesn't necessitate the need for a new program on the computer. Perhaps at this point, since ZIP may well become the format I use, it might be easier t...

My idea of having it integrated into the shells out there is to eliminate a step and/or extra loading. It can easily work with the application I had in mind, but for people using up-to-date shells on the go and missed out on picking up my app can still make use of it. As I said, my intention was to ...

New file standard for PSP homebrew?
**This is NOT a software request** I have had this idea for while now and was contemplating on getting it going until I saw the release of an Unzip tool for the PSP, which essentially does the same thing that I had in mind. But now I am throwing my idea out there to see how well received it is by th...

I followed the instructions in the link above and downloaded the PSP Toolchain in Win32 installer format from: http://xorloser.com/ However I get this error when compiling: C:\pspdev\Projects\makefile [Build Error] No rule to make target `helloworld.o', needed by `helloworld.elf'. Stop. This is the ...

That might be a possibility, but it should be covered under warranty. It is Sony's stupid fault for making the updates need the AC adaptor in in the first place. Had they made it either AC to boot, then battery as failsafe(which they apparently did not) then you wouldn't have this problem. As well, ...

Well a 200 gig HDD attached to a psp wouldn't be very portable.... Who cares about portability. A 200 gig harddrive could hold far more movies and homebrew games than a memstick. A memstick makes the PSP useless for music and movies, at least until they start making 10 gig memsticks, and even then,...

The USB has a power source, if you look to the right and left side of the USB port, you will see small copper contacts underneath the silver plastic(there are 2 small holes for them). That was said to be powered. For the host chip, my information was the opinion of people on these boards. I do not t...

This may be a stupid question, but did you turn off WiFi Power Save in the system settings? That is certainly a killer when it comes to using the WiFi(makes it almost unuseable...) I got sick of using the Wipeout browser, so I really do not know of how it handles itself for extended periods of time ...

Also, if it is of any help, I saw an article a while back showing users how to replace the PSP's WiFi antenna with a more efficient one purchased online. The author's tests showed that the PSP's antenna is abhorrently inefficient and suffers from alot of noise. The upgraded antenna reduced the noise...

Well, to shed some light on it, I thought it was impossible. Simply because of two reasons: 1)I tried it LONG before WAB ever thought of it. I outlined my experiences here(which is located somewhere in the archives now I think). I got fed up with trying and said to hell with it, and returned my PSP ...

I thought of something similar. But I do not think its possible. The best way to go about this, is finding a USB hard drive, acquiring a host chip and modifying the HD to use the host chip. But you'd also then need to program a homebrew app to make use of the USB hard drive, which then makes it usel...

Perhaps as web-phone. One would need to be in range of an access point and from there he/she can run the program, connect to the net, type in the # using the control pad and make the call. It could certainly work and the best way to get started would be to find a similar PC program that is open sour...

Yeah, and I'd much rather have a 1.0 psp than a 1.50. If you really want a 1.50 that bad, why not trade with someone who has a 1.50 at least then there are still some 1.0's left then. Or sell it to someone who wants a 1.0 and with the money buy a 1.50. But I wouldn't upgrade it. 1.0 PSPs are on the ...

Here you go: http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=2926 The program, at least the first release of it, used a buffer(as it was called and as it seemed from my observations) to put the characters onto the screen. I tried to make it save this upon exit (thus making a very simple text editor) but th...

Great work there 71M, very impressive. I presume the PBP loading is only for 1.0 machines, though, as I can't get it to work on anything on a 1.5...? /edit - sorry - /some/ stuff runs. Cheers, You still need to use the Kxploit method of ----, ----% folders, running the PBP in the % folder first. Th...

OK I made some changes, I removed all of the stuff that AppWizard puts into the Main.c file and made it completely bare using the tutorial I saw online for making a hello world program. Now it just exits the program without giving an error. Here is code: #include <pspdebug.h> #include <pspkernel.h> ...
