Looks very nice. I've only had time to compile the samples so far, but I'm very impressed. I'll make my next demo with the baby :)

broken random number generator

I've been using a random number seeder for a while and recently found out it's returning the same number each time: void Randomize() { register long ret = 0; __asm__ volatile("mfc0 %0, $1" : :"r"(ret)); __asm__ volatile("sync.p"); SeedGenerator(ret); } SeedGenerator is ...

Shazz,

Sound shouldn't be too much of a problem at all. IOP easily handles the AHX player.

I thought about the work involved in porting UAE. Would be quite a task. Also, a number of people said that the PS2 would not really be up to the task.... Not sure how true this is though :)

Would be nice to see some cool ST demos by from Equinox etc. Good luck with the project ;)

wav is just pcm container afaik. was thinking of internal conversion anyway, so it shouldn't matter.

modplayer that supports sound effects (for games etc)

I'm in the process of adding sound effects support to Adresd's modplayer. I was wondering what sort of sample format people would prefer for soundfx? Wav, Raw?? Any ideas would be helpful...

I used the DMS format tool to partition my HDD. You should be able to find it with a google search.

AHX Musicdisk

This message has been created with the visually impaired in mind (not that they could read this small text) I've released a little musicdisk to test my iop AHX player IRX. You can grab it here: http://ps2dev.org/files/ahx_musicdisk.zip raizor ps. The player sources will be in CVS very soon :)

timing on the iop

Is there anyway to time an event to happen 50/60 times a second on the iop? Kinda like using vsync on the EE. I'm writing a sound player and I need to buffer roughly each vsync... I've noticed AmigaMod.irx must do something like this for timing of the modplayer, I just have no idea how vzzrzzn did i...

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall loading elf files from memcard is not allowed. You need to use MrBrown's sbv patches to allow it...

Please correct me if I'm wrong ;)
