You could even make your own portal. Search is a beautiful thing.

The secondary DNS can be set to 0.0.0.0 that way if the portal is down you can still connect to the wipeout pure downloadable content.

I believe the first game they released with an update built in was the 1.51 update which would have been on 05-11-05. So I would worry about anything after that point.

Their internet is the same however, this isn't the issue. The issue being that they are packaging it as a propreitary service. You could I guess emulate that service basically trick the psp into thinking that your on NESPOT when you're only on your home based WIFI. You need to find someone that is g...

Yes you could do this however, with current computer speeds it would take hundreds of thousands of years.

Maybe a seti type process would help using multiple computers to attempt to brute force entry the encryption.

MY interest was in that it was causing side effects of crashing or rebooting the psp. The psp must be freaking out when it sees something contained within the code through the browser.

I stopped watching the xbox pre-e3 press release about half way through after seeing the ps3 press release.

I've typically always owned several consoles at a time. However, this next gen I think i'm only going with Sony.

PS3 looks insane

Here's a link to the hour and fifty minute press conference sony held pre-e3. It has lots of game footage including several demos. Looks like it will most likely destroy the xbox performance wise. Also some nice tid bits: Bluetooth controllers - factory WIFI - factory PSP connectivity - as a remote ...

rumor of something running on 1.5

One of our users Mike W. let us know that he managed to run homebrew on his 1.5 PSP via the memory card using the Wipeout Pure browser. Users need to navigate to: http://www.psphacker.com/homebrew.htm and load an html file into the memory card as: “webgame/eboot.html”. He has confirmed the calculat...

Just curious about current WIPs

Now that homebrew is pretty much successfull on 1.0 firmware, are there any dev's still working on getting something going on 1.5? Has all forward progress stopped? Or is everyone in a sort of probing in a holding pattern phase? What about creating a WIP page to consolidate some of the devs together...
