Well, in fairness he checked first on ps-scene.org and someone directed him here. I almost posted on ps2-scene.org suggesting it might not be a good idea considering everything, but was conflicted on whether to discourage posting in advance. I was the person on PS2 Scene who directed HONGXING to ps...

Re: PS2MENU Homebrew Software Tests
I haven't done to many tests using PS2MENU but I did do one recently with PS2 ScummVM.
PS2 ScummVM ( http://www.volny.cz/molej/ps2/ ). Loads up & runs. I didn't get it to load up any Lucasarts games but I will try again sometime soon.

Re: SDL Port already in progress
Calvin, I think that it's excellent that you & your students are porting SDL to the PS2. I really believe that SDL can help ease the development pains associated with programming the PS2. Basically, IMO, a SDL port would enable people to port games, applications (music players, emulators), et al...

Re: SDL Library
I have an idea. Maybe some of the PS2 programmers could come together & start a PS2 programming group to port both SDL & Allegro to native PS2. Both of these libraries would really help to bring more homebrew software to the PS2. Homebrew software is lacking on the PS2 since the PS2 is harde...
