Well, maybe it doesn't really interest someone, but I still have my PS2 port that could be added to the list... In case anybody would like to join the project on my side (PS2). Concerning myself, I'm still out of the business atm since DHL actually lost my PS2 that I sent for repair 3 months ago, an...

the toolchain script is almost the same, and apart the fact that you need a way to run unsigned code on the PS2, it's not difficult! anyway, as soon as I will get my PS2 back (that is still travelling across europe), I'll have a closer look at it, I have a few things that would benefits of such opti...

VFPU math lib
see http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=7539
Do we have a similar lib on the PS2 ?
Too bad that we don't have closer SDK between the PS2 and the PSP (seeing how much the PSP scene is active comparing to the PS2 one).

Hi radad, actually my PS2 is connected to a TV card, so I just use the provided software for screenshots. With the PS2 connected to the PC, it's much more easy to develop :)radad wrote:How do you take a screenshot? I thought you could do it with ps2link but looking at the code it doesnt seem to do anything,

I got MPlayer working on YDL and played divx files through a NFS share on my NAS (although I still have weird issues with portmap). I installed VLC as well, but it crash as soon as I put the display in fullscreen.... btw, software scaling sucks, sony could at least provide some basic hardware functi...

I wanted to install freevo over YDL, once I'll have enough free time..
Since I have a NAS (DS101j), I'm looking for a UPNP compliant "Media Center like software", and this one looks nice :)
I'll post my feedback once done.

I remember ps2reality ported the unrarlib for his media player, but never released any source code.. but this shouldn't be really complicated if you need it :)

the easiest example is maybe the PS2SDK itself... Start by having a look at the PAD sample, Since PADMAN is an IRX but located in ROM, you'll have a example of loading... and then look at the usb mass sample (mass_example.c) Once you are ok with the principle, take a look to something more complex.....

PS2SDK enhancement ?
I was just curious,
What would you generally expect as future enhancements for the PS2SDK or related libraries ?

The ntba's libtime (available @ http://www.ntba2.de/) should also make his way into the ps2sdk in order to fully implement time functions from libc. The lib is almost directly reusable, the only thing IMO would be to check if the library is initialized (timer started) as soon as one of the time func...

2. IomanX changes: Causes ps2ftpd to steal devices away from uLE when started with PS2Net. I have seen this with the USB mass. After launching PS2Net, uLE can no longer access the currently connected USB device. The device is stolen away and the next thing that needs to use the device is prevented ...

First be sure to have both latest version of ps2client and ps2link from SVN. Then yes, it's currently an issue I have with host loading, after a console reboot the player is hanging on the MC initialization (I honnestly thought that it was due to my environement, but seems that not ...). Just do a &...
