If you have 'make' installed you don't need 'gmake', and since it is asking for 'patch' I'd say u have 'make' or it wouldn't get past it. 'patch' is another one of the cygwin programs you need, re-run the cygwin download/installer, make sure you choose the same mirror you did the first time. In the ...

I will. I'd love nothing better than to have support for SPDIF out. Then some folks wouldn't need to worry about decoding AC3 or DTS, which would allow more time for video decoding. :) Not to mention, digital sounds MUCH better than decoding and playing out the analog lines. Just the difference in ...

Optical out and AC3
With EEUG's developments with SMS and the newly implemented AC3 sound, I was wandering if it is possible to output the AC3 sound to the optical port (SPDIF) for decoding on an external suround system? I searched the net for a few hours earlier to learn (or atempt to in the time) as much about the va...

Thanks for that. Do you know if there are goning to be an updates to other programs to use the driver? I was thinking is it possible to emulate a memory card or HDD using a flash drive, like virtual drives on PC? What I mean is you plug in a flash drive run a program and from then on the flash drive...

Action replay Max drive
Is it possible to use the Max drive to put the independence exploit and other things (eg PS2menu, Sega roms, ...) onto a PS2 memory card?
And can the bios be dumped to the memcard and sent to the PC with the maxdrive?
Overall is the max useable for home brew?
Any help will be helpful.

I'm in Brisbane so I'd have to order from the site. But is the cable the right one, because on a different thread I found this You can use the Sharkport (aka Xport) to setup the ps2-independence exploit to let you run your code on the ps2. You can get the tools for modifying a Sharkport/Xport save f...

Currently I do not have the network adapter and the usb cable is cheaper. To load homebrew from a cd it needs to be in the drive and to load the xploit a PS1 game has to be in. Can I remove the PS1 game as soon as the xploit has loaded or does it have to be in the drive the hole time. Also can the P...

I've looked at the tuts and other threads, it's just none of them were specific to what I have or don't have in some cases. I just posted this to get some clarification. So all I'll need to do is buy the Usb cable. Send the xploit over. And run a link program, etc. A couple more Q's Anyone else from...
