Yeah, they use YUM. In the end (after a LOT of messing around) I managed to find that old VMWare again (it's still on the web somewhere) and used that. Now I have a Fedora 7 VMWare all ready to go with the 3.0 SDK and the Cell IDE installed, and can Run projects into a local Cell Simulator or on YDL...

Well, I'm testing it out, but I'm also running Ubuntu 9.04 on my PC, and I definitely see some advantages of that distribution so I don't consider it out of the question that I'll change my mind and go with that at some point. Ubuntu really seems a very solid distribution, very mature, efficient and...

I managed 9,5 words per minute in a small little test, which I then repeated on the PC where I got 101 words per minute (ten fingers, blind). The keys on the PSP aren't as good as the ones on a regular keyboard so I don't think I can manage 50 words per minute on it, but that would theoretically be ...

Ok, super, that's really helpful. I had figured out a few things myself and managed to get one or two things to work, but not everything. Basically I now managed to compile a prx just once by accident, and otherwise am now up and running again using Heimdall's environment. I used all the information...

I think that layout makes sense. My layout was optimised for English language words, so that eventually patterns of letters would be easy to remember, combinations that frequently occur together would be close together, and frequently used letters would be assigned to easy to press button combinatio...

Did you try setting a breakpoint somewhere? I'm also having trouble with this by the way ... but mine just says can't find file on the host location a few times. And when I start the usbhost it starts, but says as the first line that the port is already in use. I reserved ports 10000-10001 in the re...

Wonderful job guys, shame that there isn't an official one out there yet, but this is definitely the next best thing! By the way, should anyone care enough (maybe, maybe not) the PSPrint libraries are set-up clean enough so that they can interface to a driver for this keyboard. That would mean that ...

Re: bluetooth working
also, if you are interested in accelerometer and gyro data, use glovepie, its great. This is actually the only thing I'm interested in! I do have a BlueTooth dongle, but I'm not interested in that part. Which parts do I need to get just the accelerometer and gyro data? I'll try glovepie to start wi...

You're probably best off doing everything using the PPE/SPEs, as RSX drivers are still very much up in the air for the PS3 right now, and guarding your PS3 against firmware updates may be stressy. I would focus first on getting the simulation going on any number of SPEs (making that configurable), s...

I have installed Fedora 7 and nothing else, but I'm not really good at development stuff under Linux yet. I've made some PSP projects in Cygwin, and that's about it. But with good instructions or maybe just a pre-compiled testing program? I'd love to help some. I will have some time during the holid...

Does your monitor support DHCP? This could be a problem if you're using HDMI/DVI.spiderbaby wrote:Thanks, I tried that but it didn't work for me. The two modes which work best (i.e. I can see the whole display) are 7 and 39, both 576p. Most other modes don't work at all or else give me a partial display.

I had the exact same problem. Installing and such went fine, but then after I had installed the 2.6.23 kernel and added those as options in the yaboot.conf file according to the same instructions, I got this same problem. There must be some typo or configuration incompatibility. Unfortunately, I'm t...

Neat. On one of these pages there's a delphi source and exe which shows that it is reading from the sixaxis motion sensors. That's a good start for a proper driver! Hopefully someone can clean it up - I don't have any access to pascal development stuff. It seems to be based on generic HID component ...
