Both PMP VLC 0.0.9 and VLC are buggy like hell :)
The list is composed of files found on the memstick and on VLC server.
I should buy a PSP Slim & Lite and redo the whole thing ...

The codec selection in the config file is only for streaming media. If hw encoding is selected then the video must be h264/avc If hw encoding is diabled in the config, you can play any file from memory card as long as the codecs are supported by ffmpeg. So if your file plays with Ffplay it should be...

The main site is run on tomcat and the last month or so there's a problem which is causing it to stop working once in a while. I've put a cron job to check if the number of open sessions raises too high. If it does I reset tomcat. At some stage I'll work out what is causing the problem and fix it. ...

I'm sorry for bumping this with no useful information, but I am wondering if an application has materialised from this code. If not, is it even feasible? Would the PSP be able to decode XviD at 480p at 30fps? There are other applications that decode Xvid avis but nnowhere near 272p at 30fps. When m...

I left it connected to the charger for a few hours although it was already fully charged and the led was off. When I then switched it on and looked again it was on 100% Seems that it needs some time to get used to the new battery (which easily reaches about 9 hours playtime btw). Tip: If you're shop...

PSP: wrong charge state indication?
I bought a third party PSP 2800 mAh battery. After fully charging it, the battery status shows 51% charged. But if I connect the charger it says fully charged. Is this a firmware bug in 3.40-oe ?

There are h.264 encoders which encode fine for PSP. I tried a file encoded with Elgato Turbo.264 encoder (uses Mobilygen MG1264 video processor) and it works fine. So it must include the buffering_period and pic_timing SEIs in the videostream. Only a few sw encoders do that, e.g. Mainconcept and Ele...

PSP doesn't play x264 streams/files w/o x264-pictiming-magik patch. I come back to my question, how do you know that PSP can play std h264 vid streams? (i.e. w/o pictiming tweak). You can try by creating h264/aac files with an unpatched VLC and my patched VLC (uses patched x264). And search for magi...

Take a look at the build instructions PMP-build-instructions.txt in the root dir. Maybe you're not starting from an entirely clean sourcetree Do the rev4 binaries from here also hang? (these are the rev4 test binaries from March 3) Btw, what kind of VLC input are you using? Is it perhaps VLC server ...

Are you streaming of a VLC server? Which codecs are you using? If H264, then you must use a patched VLC (e.g. the one I provide for Windows).
The rev4 sourcecode is here
I'm working on rev5 which will have mp3 and aac hw decoding (thanks to cooleyes).
