If these are things you know how to do, please let me know and I can provide access so you can make the changes.
The server is on a Digitalocean droplet running latest PHP and latest phpbb. The other things I haven't touched.

Oobles.

Forum online after 10years offline
I found myself with a bit of time over the weekend and decided to see if I could find and put online these forums. After a bit of stuffing around and converting an old backup, I've got it online. If you remember your userid and password you will still be able to login. If anyone has an interest in a...

Server Move
The ps2dev.org server is on the move starting tonight (next few hours) to a new IP address. I will be stopping all posts to the forums before making DNS changes. If everything goes smoothly (it never does), we will be back up and running a few hours after I start.

Just to chime in with my 2c. This is really a disapointing decision from Sony and will encourage hacking that leads to piracy. It also removes an important development environment that allows new developers to learn how to write software for the Cell architecture. This leads to a larger pool or reso...

Yep. I'm ok. Thankfully not as close as Wally to the fires. I live at the edge of the Dandenong ranges. Close enough to get nervous on high risk fire days, but far enough away from the actual fires for it not to be a problem for me. Some of the first hand accounts of the fires where really scary. Th...

Does anyone have experience with PHPBB3? Is it stable enough? I'm happy to upgrade to it if people thinks it is worthwhile. Also, were not on PHPBB v1.0.. I'm slow with my upgrades, but not that slow. :) I'm having some troubles with the server right now. Will hopefully be fixed soon. David. aka Oob...

I should note that I said I was ok with this as long as the rest of the mods and long time members were also ok with it. I'm happy for this topic to be put up and discussed. If it is accepted and everyone is happy with it, then I'm ok with it. I'd like to note that I have very little to do with the ...

xVM Server
Hi, Has anyone had experience with anything like open source Virtual Machine server solutions? I'm wondering, if I added a couple more gig of memory to the ps2dev.org server I could host a couple of VMs for Apache, etc. This could make it easier for people to participate in the up-keep of the server...

If you haven't already noticed I've been looking at all the useful modules to use. Another one that is probably worth adding.
http://drupal.org/project/zen
Are there any CSS masters that would be interested in contributing a theme for drupal using zen?

Another possible module to add. What are peoples experiences with openid?
http://drupal.org/project/openid
Should we add it? Will we need to run an openid server as well? Any thoughts?

I got a little bit of time tonight to split off the domains and install drupal. I picked it because it has won some CMS awards and looks like it has some a lot of support. It also has lots of modules, some of which should cater for creating sub projects, etc. Does anyone have any drupal experience? ...

Well.. after minimal discussion with a few people.. it looks like we're going to create a ps3dev.org for all the ps3 stuff. If you've got some ideas for the site.. reply in:

ps3dev.org splitting from ps2dev.org.
After some discussions with a few people its been decided that we're going to split the ps3 related discussions to a new web site (ps3dev.org). That means a chance to take a fresh approach to everything. If you've got an opinion of what you would like to see with the new site, this is the place to g...

I better squash that before it grows legs. The site never had anything to do with Napalm and wasn't branched off anything. Its always been about legal homebrew and its managed to keep that ideal strong from the start to now. It did start under a different domain name, but that's all. I started tryin...

Every year this time comes around I'm always amazed that the site is still here. And more amazed that the site keeps growing. I do little more than make sure the server keeps running and scan the forums for bad content. It shows what a great community that the site has become. The site receives arou...

I'll look at this when I get a chance. But it sounds like some people only use the web interface. The web interface has always been there as a tool to investigate the history of changes, etc.. nothing else. To download/update/commit you should be using a Subversion client which does not require the ...
