The X mark is to cut the trace there so the switch will work as a switch. Just visualise what will happen whe SW-DPDT is in both positions...

You probably arent going to get much help until you either explain what the eboot is (how it was coded or post the sourcecode) or tell where the eboot comes from. It looks like it just displays some of the video ram or cache. I doubt many people are just going to run an unknoown eboot from an unknow...

Try using a different batery. I am not sure how much control the Smart Batteries have on the system, but I have seen other devices do strange things when the Smart Battery is faulty, or a non-genuine battery is used. Otherwise, take another look at the jack and related circuit with a magnifying glas...

further to my previous post, Ive just been reading their website for a laugh. There was plenty... Actually, 3 methods failed (Desoldering and reprogramming, tapping into traces, rerouting NAND traces to MSD reader) and we have infinite methods left, but we are almost positive the next will work (JTA...

Hi, I have looked at the sourcecode for the firmware of other similar Marvell chipsets. The capability of promiscuous mode is compiled into the firmware itself. The wireless card itself rejects all packets that do not match that cards MAC address. They are filtered out before the drivers or OS even ...

That should work ok. for (3) you'd better get playing :) Seriously, It would be good to put it in dificulty, but probably not too important. I guess what 1 person might find very hard, another person could see the solution instantly. Li...

In nearly all protections there is some weak link in the security chain that can bring the whole scheme to its knees. Imaging a door with high security unpickable locks all the way down. secure? Well what if you can simply push the pins out of the hinges and open the door that way? The security team...

I have a programmer... If it would read in-circuit, I can try to read it. Otherwise I can de-solder it after I get a new battery. I saw today KMart sells an aftermarket one for the PSP. I will have a look at the pinouts and see if the way it is used on the PSP battery supports the 24Lxx theory. BTW,...
