How heavy is web kit? If it's light enough then maybe rather than a chromium port perhaps you can try uzbl as it is really not that much more on top of web kit.

There is really a lack of sharing and openness in the psp dev community. It has been a real bitch since the beginning. No one is interested in any childish competition. Wiki any info you have. Put all your source in a public repo. For the sake of the community.

So this is where the whole cat and mouse game has gone. Sony wants signatures of the saves to be checked to make sure it is nothing but a plain save. Surely this isn't sustainable if the list becomes too big. And what about false positives when a save really is nothing but a save.

That means someone (in this case: me :p) should code or port an existing codec and then 'put' it in the firmware. This falls under the category "It shouldn't be too hard". Sorry :( I'm already aware that the almost all the time would be spent joining the codec code to the firmware code bu...

Useless IMHO, as the player already exists. Easy and simple: why would you make the XMB unnecessary bigger and hence buggier, slower and more memory consuming, if you can use an external app or even convert Xvid to PSP's MP4? If I were to do that then is there any existing software to trim down and...

Just ask what people really want out of there psps.

For me:
Do you have any experience in customizing the firmware? I have always wanted to play xvid avi's directly from the xmb but afaik no one has yet done this and a custom player is still required.

Is it actually posible to support dlna like APIs/SDKs for example because I thought it was just about certification and drm which would be hard and pointless for a homebrew app?

Some functions cause an implicit context switch like sceAudioOutputBlocking for example. Can someone in the know confirm this though?

some tips: sceAudioOutput and sceAudioOutputBlocking are two functions that do the ouput. One starts the output and then executes the next bit of code. The other starts the output then waits before going to the next line of code. The trick is to have the sceAudioOutputBlocking in a different thread ...

Of course you can this should be of help: http://silverspring.lan.st/3.5x/index.html and use the search function of these forums if you don't know what to do with those NIDs but why would you wan't to use that fw anyway when you can use 3.71 or 3.80 and also you might want to have a look at the 1.50...

What are you actually trying to say? What do you plan on doing? All I can think off is you're trying to play you PS2's sound through the speakers that your DVD player is hooked up to and to do that you need an optical cable from the PS2's optical out and connect it to the dvds player optical input (...
