Well I just finished watching my first pmp file @ bitrate 1300 and boy does it look sweet :-). Big thanks to the authors for this, pmp avc is great! I did notice a subtle continuous zooming background sound when I played my file, and was wondering what the cause of it could be. I used belight 0.21 ...

Long time no see! Glad PMPMod still gets some tuning. I've just tried out PMP Mod AVC 1.02M_e. The added functionality is impressive stuff, indeed. Have also heard about 3.03 OE-B, but since its bitrate seems to be pegged at 768 kbps, ànd because of a huge PMP-AVC library I've built up (55 GB and co...

Try encoding the same AVS with jonny's own x264 build or with the patched mencoder. See if that works. Try limiting general encoding questions in this thread, as jonny has pointed out. Perhaps you could start a thread over at the PSPVideo9 forums. In other news, I saw this on PSPUpdates, being the r...

What's the problem with the multiple passes located? Is it from mediacoder or pmpavc doesn't support more than one? Also what is the purpose of the bitrate analysis? thanx. I think it still is a bug in Mediacoder, or possibly in x264. Remember that even PSPVideo9 itself had some trouble getting 2-pa...

I think PMP has been developing very well but what I was looking for PSP was a kind all-in-one Media Player. What I would like is somewhat a breed between PMP Mod (AVC) and PSPlayerMT: - to be able to read my backuped avi movies without conversion (PSPlayerMT) at any resolution (PMP Mod) - to be ab...

Testing Mencoder with Mediacoder. Also trying to driectly use pmp_muxer_avc with that program. MEncoder seems slower than x264 for me (about twice). Alcahast, thanks a bunch for those Final Fantasy trailers ^_^ How can you decode WMV? When I input it via Directshowsource I always get crap. Codec is ...

Very, very fast work indeed :D Currently running that FFXIII trailer in endless loop. Did you use the line you suggested on page 36? On the encoding side, I've requested the maker of Mediacoder, a very promising GUI mostly built around mencoder that previously supported PMP Mod, to do PMP Mod AVC en...

Well, battery life is much better than with XMB or PSPlayerMT (the latter burned through the pack in about 2 hours due to 333mhz). Well, about the loop, at least I seemed to be thinking in the right direction. Perhaps if I ask for some help of my IT-degree neighbour I could try and figure it out. Wh...

Well, excellent job, jonny. Thanks for fixing it so quickly. I've ran 1.01 virtually non-stop from full charge to shutdown and was able to reach about 4 hours. Having said that, I've sometimes run it on the internal speakers on pretty loud volumes, and the battery pack I used is the very first that ...

hi ,jonny, what highest bitrate through sony official psp avc decoder api can touch?:) i have tested the 6000kps ,it works perfectly:D Since the PSP's AVC api is Main Profile Level 3 (check the PSP's manual, it actually says so under the UMD standard) I think it's 10000 kbps. More information here: ...

Hi yoshaw, FPS= rate/scale Thus, for example, 25 fps (PAL) is 25000/1000=25. 25/1 also works. 29.97 (NTSC) is 8000000/333667=29.97 Etc. You can calculate this with calculator to get the desired framerate within the muxed pmp file. Normally, the muxer detects the .txt file that is created alongside t...

Hey Alcahest, would you mind recoding your FFXIII video with Tweak(sat=1.4) (or any value you prefer)? Well, thanks for sharing anyways. Stuff like this softens the 600$ PS3 hammerblow, hehe. Here is a little AVC encode that i did. I now understand why AVC is amazing; so incredibly smooth! Check for yourself. video: 1500Kbps / Audio 192Kbps. I think the result is AMAZING! http://videoff7.free.fr/FF13-E3_AVC.pmp Wow, this blew my mind. I have that trailer in standard 368x208 for some tim...
