Question about USB > Ethernet Adapter

Will such USB to Ethernet Adapters (like http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmaster-US ... 894&sr=1-1) work for such tasks as ps2link? Or just for online gaming?
Also, do USB to IDE adapters work?

Thanks,
Jay

Can you run the normal version of kernelloader? yes, perfectly Can you see anything on the screen? Whilst running the naplink version it shows the naplink main screen, then simply a blank screen Can you run simple ps2sdk example programs like "Hello World"? yes Did you need to replace pri...

Now I made a version with IOP reset and naplink modules loaded. I want know If there is more debug output and whether you can access the host device. USB will not work with Linux, because I activated the debug output (which uses naplink USB). http://mitglied.lycos.de/ps2dev/kernelloader1.5/kloader....

I have just tried the latest versions of both.

Neither of them play MP4

This sucks because most of my videos are MP4 for my PSP

Are there any other media players?
Try Simple Media Center (as I said earlier), it plays MP4, and if it doesn't, something is wrong with the files.

NapLink Source Code Request

Does anybody have the NapLink source code? I have e-mailed the developers of NapLink, but seeing as it's over 6 years (or more) old now I really doubt a reply.

Thanks,
Jay

I decided to build a version with deactivated IOP reset. Please test if this is working with naplink. When you select a file you can also select "Host" to access the host. Please post the output of kernelloader printed through naplink. http://mitglied.lycos.de/ps2dev/kernelloader1.5/kload...

I don't know what "Drivers Type B' is, but when it is not really fast (~8GB/s) then it will be too slow to play games. I think it would be a better idea to write a PSP emulator for PS2. As far as I know PSP has the same processor. what he said is porting usbhostfs_pc to ps2, good idea but the ...

I think I can load the naplink modules in kernelloader, but I don't have USB->USB cable. So I can't test it and I don't know if naplink has "host:" file system support like ps2link. Does it behave the same way? Yes, I think it does. Resetting the IOP causes NapLink to disconnect I think, ...

Yes but you said "use a disc" and by that, I assume you meant a read-only Linux system burnt to a CD or DVD. Even after you start homebrew stuff like uLaunchELF or MegaMan's RTE, the PS2's copy protection is still active and consequently you need to do the swap trick in order for a burnt ...

You mean a read-only system on a DVD? Maybe. If I remember rightly, loading ROMs from a disc for SNES-Station requires you to do the swap trick so the same rule probably applies here. Unless your console is modded, of course. That's also assuming that recent Gentoo stuff is working, which it isn't,...

Code it yourself! What the fuck do you think this is? "HireACoderForFree"?
By the quality of your posts, it looks like you DO NOT know C/C++, lots of developers wish to join a team, but do not want to be bossed around by people who cannot code themselves.
