Listing Directory Contents from CD

Noticed quite a few posts on this via search, but no solution..(and here comes another post on it!) Im using ps2sdk, trying to make a directory list of the files on the cd (i can read them individually, so i know thats fine), but ive tried fileXioD, fioD, and even fileXioGetdir, and im outta ideas, ...

Input/Output:
USB connector (1)
Memory Stick® Duo slot (1)
Controller port (1)
VGA connector (1)
(I deleted the rest, gotsa be safe)

But it has a VGA connector, mostlikely VGA out = should be able to hook up to a TV!

well I ripped mine open earlier today, took some pic's (they are bad, but gives you a jist of whats up. 8 wires inside, 2 for the audio, 6 for the buttons, which looks like all 6 may be used (dunno), just 6 buttosn = 6 wires + one of the audio ones for a ground would make it work, + theres a small c...
