PSP to PSP communication via serial connection

has anyone attempted to communicate psp<->psp via a serial connection?

im assuming that you would just have to connect two ends of the remote connector to make a male-male cable? or would it be more complicated than that?

any good r4000 disassemblers?

I know some really talented reverse engineers congregate here so I'm wondering what disassembler(s) are you guys using that work well with psp binaries? IDA Pro (version 4.3 at least) seems to not handle them very well.

unzip it. Edit the START.bat file and look at the "set PSPDEV=C:\pspdev" line, replace C:\pspdev with the location of your pspdev directory. Save it. Run START.bat and you're done. To compile the examples, go to samples, type "make" and then you'll have the EBOOT.PBP right into ...

if someone manages to patch sceKernelLoadExec to be able to load from ms0, than yes it would be possible.

A ps2menu type tool would be quite usefull imo.

Are there certain things I can and cannot ask about the UMD device or is anything at all dealing with it off limits?

The reason I ask is that I simply want to be able to access individual files on my legally purchased retail games without having to dump entire images of them.

File I/O Woes

ok let me start off by saying I still consider myself very much so a newbie when it comes to coding in C, especially with the unintuitiveness of the gcc compiler. I've had pretty good success using nem's pg library so far as I've got some simple "hello world" type programs to compile and r...

Im just wondering if you guys plan on including any sample code in the upcoming PSPSDK like there is in the PS2SDK? I learned alot from the really simple and well commented samples in the PS2SDK.

which file on the UMD is the actual executable?

I just dumped my copy of Puzzle Bobble (only game that would fit on my mem stick) for analysis and I'm not sure exactly which file is the executable. Inside the directory .../PSP_GAME/SYSDIR I found EBOOT.BIN (1,140,512 bytes) and BOOT.BIN (1,140,168 bytes) Are either of these the actual executable?...

It just seems to hang after accessing mc0:/ and no file is created on host:/ even though fioOpen returns 0.

I have no idea as to why.
