Here is how to download videos onto the PSP via the Browser!

I wasnt sure anyone had figured this out yet so I thought I would post.

I was just trying to figure out exactly what was required to make the PSP save video files in the correct location and with the correct filename, when downloading via the browser. I knew the official PSP site did that but I couldnt find any other site that worked, all the rest told you to manually enter the path and would already have the filename set. However, sniffing the headers on the official site I figured it out.

Basically, if you want the PSP to autonumber video downloads (and lets face it, remembering which numbers you have spare is a pain) then you need to simply ensure that the server identifies the file as the type "Content-Type: video/vnd.sony.mp4-maq". Personally im doing this by using a PHP script to stream all the files so that I can keep track of them and will probably also implement an upload service too, so I can interchange videos/music while away from home.

Bear in mind that is for AVC format files, I presume theres another filetype for the older format but its not of importance to me as im strictly using firmware 2.01 (as such im on the forum out of curiosity rather than homebrew).
