In the future, please refrain from requesting or providing these files here. What you do outside of these forums is something I can't control, but when you're here please try to obey the rules.

Thanks!
Can't we be held responsible, though, if we foster an environment that encourages via *wink wink* acceptable of people playing illegally with SDK's outside of the forums then discussing their travails within the forums ? I think if this topic was about PS2s, rather than PSPs, it would have been locked long ago - especially not allowed to beat a dead horse for so long as to be unproductive.

Now where do I encourage talking about the SDK here?

Where do I foster a wink-and-nudge policy?

Links to sdk-related material were posted, so they were deleted. My comment was meant to proactively address the next usual whine about 'but so-and-so site lets us!' by telling them to go there instead, wherever it may be.

If they were discussing the SDK itself, I would have told them they could do that elsewhere, too.

Oopo, I certainly don't believe such is your intention, and the comment was not directed personally at you, unless you are also taking sole responsibility for moderator policy of this particular PSP board.

Anyhow, I have long considered signing off the PSP part forums because it is 99% noise, especially from topics that don't go anywhere. Now is as good a time as any.

When you quote me, then comment on what I said... how is that not directed at me personally?

About the same as when anything is quoted to address a particular topic directly mentioned within the quotes, whether it be the specific quoted content, or an expansion on the ideas contained therein.

Or put another way, its the difference between talking about the topic/issue or talking about specific people behind the topics/issues.

My comment was the former, not the latter. I am sorry about creating a misunderstanding where I should have recognized I needed more care in how I approached a topic that might be delicate lately.

Bare in mind that I am writing all of this at 3am in a tropical environment in a developing country (hint, I am not in Japan at the momen) whilst a bird outside (of the feathery kind, not the other) keeps screaming what sounds like "fuck me"... And no, I haven't been partaking of local happy things...

All I am talking about relates to the ongoing discussion of whats right and whats wrong for topics in PSP forums. However, that discussion seems to have gone no where, and it was a mistake for me to continue it here, thus I may as well not continue it anymore until some new development comes along.

Speaking plainly: we may disagree on this general topic, but I respect your opinion enough (and see reason in it) such that I have nothing against it. However, I still see a worrying trend in the general forum posts here. I am not ascribing it to any of your actions, but I still wanted to bring it up in the expanded context of the posting you made. Hence my error.

I speak no more. There is enough danger in the woods that we both needst make it back to camp in order to see the daylight ;)
