USB Drive Memory Card Help (PS2)

Well this is definitely off-topic and I'm not sure if this is something that members of this community develop... but here goes:

I have a solid state USB drive and I want to try to use it as a memory card. Does anyone know if this can be done?
There is someone who makes a 16MB USB drive / memory card but it's a bit of a rip off.

Does anyone know where I should start in my journey to answer this question?

The short answer is: you can't.

The long answer is: if there was something like a homebrew support for these usb storage, maybe PS2Menu could integrate it, and enable you to copy your saves from a true memory card to that USB thing. But you can't use it directly without hardware modification. Now, you maybe want to create some kind of hardware adapter, but I think this is not an easy task at all.

The 'easiest' thing to do, would be to write the homebrew usb drivers needed, and then make a program to copy saves to/from a usb flash drive.

Thanks but I'm not so sure that this helps. Let me know if anything comes up.
