Does anyone know what is the current japan firmware if you buy one from the shops today?

I bought one from play-asia a while ago and ended up with 2.0. This was around the end of last month.

and have you managed to downgrade to 1.5?

i just got my psp from japan. It is firmware 1.51.
See this thread, so far it seams downgrading from 2.0 to 1.5 is totally possible.

high success rate. Maybe even 100%, some people didnt read the instructions right and so they said it didnt work but then it did.
