No power up help please...

Hi all, what happen is last week i was having fun wif winning 11 on my PS2. Suddenly i don't know what happen wif my home town the whole city was out of power for couple hrs. Then the power back on i wanna continue on the game but some thing wrong wif my PS2 it doesn't power up....i can't switch it on any more. I'm thinking to bring it and have a check wif technician. I afraid that if there is a little damage or just a fuse or some thing like but i'll get charge for more than over its problem. I've found this site which is i hope maybe i can have some suggestion from you guys before i hand it over to technician. Anyway thank in advance for your help.
