As stated in "Tutorial: Homebrew Booting on Unmodified Consoles", it discusses partitioning the HDD to run Homebrew software from it. This involves using the HDD Format program. This makes me wonder... when you partition the HDD for homebrew stuff, does it reformat the HDD? I dont feel like losing all of my saves and especially FFXI. Thanks

Yes, it does reformat it.. however it's the same format as used by official games, such as FFXI, so you shouldn't need to format the drive.

It is the same format... hrm, any idea as to why ps2menu won't let me browse my HDD? It's HDD Utility Disc formatted (v1.10).
