I'm just getting started out, I have a ps2, the official or original ps2 network adaptor/modem, a hard drive, 8mb memory card, and a hard drive with the program HDAdvance 2.0.
I am trying to figure out how to network the ps2 to my computer so I can save, or swap saved game files.
I have some basic networking skills. Also I have the ps2 and computer connected via swich.
I have downloaded FAPLink ver 0.87.1, Inlink ver 1.3.2, nport beta 01, ps2link 1.24, and ps2sdk v1.0 alpha.
I think I can figure out pc part but how or what do I do with the ps2?
I am at a total loss? I tried burning the iso in ps2link and booting it but it doesn't work. Do I need something else to make ps2link work?
I would really like to figure this out.
Also will I also be able to, or is there a way to copy my games from the ps2 to my computer hard drive and vice versa? That is if I ever get my ps2 and pc networked.
Thanks
Chad
I'm New and I'm totally lost! Help with ps2/pc network
Copying games to the hard drive is not considered a favorable topic here due to its association with warezing.
As for using FAPlink, you may wish to check out www.ps2-scene.org for assistance on using FAPlink to copy game saves. That site is much better for helping regular folx to use their ps2 in odd and interesting ways.
This site is primarily a development site, for tools and projects that enable people to write programs that use the ps2 in cool and interesting ways, with emphasis on legal usage.
