The Serial Cable (EE) EE-SIO ??

Post by ZID »

Hello,

I have some questions please I need answers :

1- I`d like to modify my PS2 V7 PAL to have the Serial Cable (EE) or the EE-SIO, but I can`t find the schematic, and mrbrown`s homepage are down so, anyone have a backup of that page or saved it ?

2- And while I reading the forum, I read something related about the network adapter with the dial-up modem port (I own one, NTSC as I think) and the serial cable, what is it ?

3- And is there other homebrew cables for the PS2 ?

Sorry for my English, And Thanks .

mrbrown wrote an excellent chapter in the book Hardware Hacking: Having Fun While Voiding Your Warranty that I would highly recommend. He has a detailed description of the SIO hack, with pictures and tons of other information.

Sure, he has been nice enough to provide much of this information for free on his web site, but this is a rare opportunity to thank him for his efforts - buy the book!

Does mrbrown actually get royalties from the sale of the book?

Hi,

Thank you for your answer .
But I can`t buy his book because I live outside the US and I don`t use credit cards, so can you give the link to that free information that can help me ?

And Thanks .

No, I don't. But I'm pretty sure that Joe Grand (the main author) does.

Anyway, Drakonite mirrored my original pages at http://makeshift.halifrag.com/www.0xd6.org/. The EE SIO page is at http://makeshift.halifrag.com/www.0xd6. ... e-sio.html
