Hi all.
I write control systems software for PLC and SCADA applications in industry. I've had no experience of writing Playstation games and my knowledge of PS's is pretty limited to watching my 8 year old son playing games. I do, due to my job, have experience in writing a lot of code useing C, VB, etc. Although no experience of writing games I have, believe it or not, written some very basic games with VB. I would love to have a go at writing some PS2 games not only for my own interest, but also to help our kids with some games that will also help them with their school work.
I've read some of the pointers/tutorials shown on this site but if anyone could help me locate some learning books and what I need to get started, I would be very gratefull.

Here's a great primer for games for PS2 linux. Most of the info can be applied to native PS2 programming as well.
