What is the Maximum compatible HD Size?

hi guys!
I read/heard that 120gig's is the max recognizeable HD Size. Obviously this is more than you will ever need for homebrew purposes, but just out of curiosity what is the Maximum size? I would like to know for when I go to by a drive. The difference in price between 80-160 is so minimal, I just assume go bigger.
Thanks in advance... a quick search turned up only unrelated topics.

The 128GB limitation applies to device drivers that use 28-bit LBA, which includes the original Sony HDD utilities.
Most homebrew software has converted to 48-bit LBA instead, which eliminates that limitation. As far as I know, no HDD units exist that exceed the limitations of 48-bit LBA, so that's not something we worry about.
The only problem is that some software exists in two versions, 28-bit vs 48-bit, and you need to use the correct variant. Some other software supports both, and then you need to configure it properly.

Wow! Thanks for the response, however it was a lil too technical for me.
If I am planning on using the hd in conjunction with the dev kit found here, Will I be able to exceed 120gigs or not? Should I just purchase a 120 gig hard drive? I'm not sure what is involved in using software and supporting higher capacity drives. I am going to assume 120 is more than enough to need anyways. Thanks ..
.. lol, im confused sorry.

120Gb should be enough (unless you're going to do things which we don't really support here) so if you want to save yourself from a headache, you can just get one of those cheap. :)
