Hello:
I've spent a considerable amount of time looking on the web for an answer to this question, so sorry if this is a lame question:
I want to capture the CG movies or cutscenes from a PS2 game disk (specifically Final Fantasy XII). All I want to do is capture all these scenes so I can do some cheesy AMV's.
Of course, I could hook my PS2 to my PC and capture this way, but this would require me to play the entire game all the way through to capture all the content. I hope you can see that this is obviously not a convenient way to obtain what I want.
So, what I want to know is: Is there any way to pop a PS2 game disk in a PC and read the video data on that disk? And then, if so, what format are PS2 movies stored in? Hopefully something ubiquitous like .mpg or .avi?
I don't quite think this is asking how to "hack" the game or anything since this can be captured in apparently legal ways as I described above. And, I'm not specifically asking how to emulate the PS2 on a PC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
