SPU2 envelope timing

Hi.
I got my hands on some document which have tables for envelope timings, which are specified relative to time, not frequency.
I was wondering if someone can verify that SPU2 envelope linear attack rates are same as on SPU (PS1), as it seems strange to me. (actually I don't believe in that doc as pseudo-exponential attack rate with same attack value as linear should take 1.75x more time, where this is not true for all values)
(simply, if You have prog which uses some attack rate and You can measure how long it takes to change attack to decay, it would be great)
(btw I'm no PS2 coder, and I'm not really sure how long it would take to learn it, so that's why I don't try it myself)
Thanks.
