Idea: Create a MemStick to IDE hdd interface circuit

Post by liskl »

if we can create a way to stick a pcb card in the memstick spot and run a ribbon cable from that to a circuit board witha memory stick to IDE interface

like make a circuit that takes commands from a memorystick interface and then converts them to IDE ATA type signal / commands then sends them to the IDE interface so the HDD attached sends back data to the circuit and then that data is converted back to use with the MS protocal

psp < memstick (this is the normal way we do things now

psp < memstick pcb < ribbon cable < MS2IDE circuit < HDD (new way we could do this invisible to the psp)

then we could run the ribbon to a box in our pockets with a 2.5 inch Hdd / circut in it

Generally we prefer that crazy ideas not be displayed without someone actually having attempted them and is showing results or explaining why it didn't work. While it otherwise shows creativity, it clutters the boards with nothing else to show for it, usuallyl.
