PSP Firmware Status (Also Hello)

Post by PSPSteve05 »

hello, new to the forum thing, uh anyway here is where we stand with Homebrew On PSP's. To answer questions that people have, this thread is mostly a hello, no need to reply.

1.0: Never Hacked, always ran homebrew.

1.5: Hacked, using Kxsploit Method. Google it. Something to do with % sign.

1.51/1.52: Not much progress made in this area, Kxspliot Method doesn't work, and so far no way to run unsigned code. Team Xecuter released a "device" that was rumered to Downgrade you PSP back to 1.5 or 1.0, however they replied to that saying that the device will not be used for that it is merley a Mass Storage Converter. Team WAB released 1.5 and 1.52 decrypted elf's, which unfortunatly dont downgrade your firmware, but give us some information that may lead to a way to do so. These files won't run on the PSP 1.5/1.52 because they are decrypted, only encrypted files will run on these firmware versions.

2.0: Not Hacked, much harder security system than the 1.5/1.52's, and probably no homebrew in the near future.

I don't really know what this has to do with software development, and you're telling stuff to people that already know it. Locked for redundency.
