Keyboard Dev

Post by protoman »

I didn't find a hardware section for the PSP... I've been approached by a 3rd party to design a keyboard for the PSP. They want to implement it using USB. I understand that there is not a lot of support for USB drivers. Someone at Sony recommended I look at IR instead. Does anyone have any advice on this matter? Also does anyone think that a keyboard is a good idea? It will most likely be a soft keyboard not a hard one made out of plastic.

There are a few posts about these topics:

For the IR, I myself am working on an IR keyboard configurator/driver. Here is my post and the orginial IR Keyboard concept driver:

The problem with making a keyboard is that as of right now, they will only work with homebrew software. They only way that you can use it for normal usage is to obtain the official SDK, which means going through Sony and so on.
