I'm a bit lost

Post by Soga »

Greetings. I'm new to the PSP development scene, I am very familiar with console (DOS) programming in C++. I have also programmed games for Windows with a game programming library called Allegro.

But here, I am at a bit of a loss. I would like a manual describing the functions and their uses, most especially in the area of video display. I think most of you know what I mean, I'm talking about the PSP equivilent of "blit" functions that the Allegro library as well as the SDL library add for Windows. If it's an extra library I have to download, please point me to it.

If anybody would be kind enough as to point me to a good place to start studying up on PSP development, it'd be appreciated.

The best way to dive in is to grab the SDK, compile it, look at the sample code and also make the documentation, and read that.
