Web based resorces.

Post by pyrosama »

As I posted in a another thread I am offering free web space to developers who need to host files or who want to run a website related to their projects..... I would like to ask what kind of web based resources would be found useful to you guys?

I am developing a website for homebrew development related information, how to's, and file hosting and I was curious what would be useful to have....

My thoughts were:

Database that developers can freely upload software releases, source code, and beta software to for public use.

Developer driven news - as in developers who have a breakthrough to announce or an application they want to release can post a news article related to it.

Code database - basically a database that developers can upload random code snippets to for people to use.

Beta signup forum - So you can post an app that you need testers for then people can post information and reason for wanting to test....

I know a lot of this can already be done/found here on these forums and websites are damn quick to pickup on any breakthrough big or small but does any of this sound appealing at all?

What else would be found useful?

Thanks for your input,

I think you'll find most folk here like what they already have, and will build any more functionality they require themselves.
