PSP Remote Control by bluetooth

Post by Aythamie »

Hi,

I've been looking for information, to be able to remote control the PSP by bluetooth. To play and handle my music for example, not to have the /\ [] X O and D-pad remote controlled

There are many PSP compatible bluetooth transmitters available (here) and (here), however they only use A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile)
so only audio and that's great

but i want to take it one step beyond, and not only using the jack but also the 6-pin connector that the genuine PSP remote uses
(Play/Pause, Next (FF), Previous (RW), vol + and vol - ) Hold is also available but not needed

I know that not all pins are used, some are for power supply others for ground and Microphone.
check this: http://mc.pp.se/psp/phones.xhtml
and this: http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=986

To do this i'll need to use AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile).
Does anyone has some experience with Bluetooth profiles and programming them?

This idea has been in my head for over a year but never did anything to make it happen, I thought this would be the best place to start :P
PS: I'll be buying the Sony BR-BT21G soon, i'll use it for my mobile phone, PSP and PS3.
