Yes, I know there is already a thread about getting the Eye to work with a PC, but I have slightly different needs...
I DONT want video, I just want audio. Using Vista x64.
Currently, I am using a BlackMagic Intensity Pro to capture video from my PS3. I would like to be able to plug the PS3 Eye into my computer so that I can use it as a boom mic to pick up all the chatter in my room.
Right now, when I plug the PS3 Eye into my computer, using the standard Vista drivers (USB Camera-B4.04.27.1), the video capture on my Intensity pro completely dies. As well, the audio doesnt read.
So what I'm looking for a set of drivers that just installs the audio and nothing else...
Playstation Eye Microphone...
The microphones use the standard USB Audio spec (http://www.usb.org/developers/devclass_docs/audio10.pdf). On Linux it's the "usb-audio" driver and just works out of the box. I have no idea why Windows would choke on that.
