I really don't know alot about hacking the PSP's hardware/software, or hacking in general; but I was testing that newly released downgrade file, which requires you to download the original 1.52 update, and then swap the memory card with the 1.50 downgrade file. That did not work, but the downgrade did actually load, it was just corrupt. So I was thinking that maybe if we take the official 1.52 update, put that on one memory card, and then take a homebrew application/game, open up the eboot and then take the official 1.52 update file called "param.sfo (or whatever file)" and put that into the eboot of the homebrew, and maybe the PSP will still think that it is the official patch when you swap the memory card, and it will run the homebrew application/game?
Just a thought, I know it doesn't make that much sense, but thats the best that I could explain it.
Even if this is a dumb idea, at least I gave out an idea, and that's what actually gets the PSP hacked.
Idea for 1.51 Exploit?
This is a homebrew development forum, not an idle speculation by "I don't know anything about whats going on so can someone please spend their time breaking their psp for me" people forum.
