An adventure in playing with a brand new PSP lead a brand new brick instead. Lucky me! Looking back and reading that thread now makes me shake my head and wonder what I was thinking.

Playing with pthreads led to what I believe is a much nicer and better performing ps2client, even if pixel says it is bloated. :) I really should tag and release it one of these days...

I finally got off my ass and put some stuff into ps2sdk that I had been threatening to do for a while. It didn't generate much response but I still get email every so often asking for help with it so I know at least some of you are using it. I especially liked doing the included samples:
I hear there were other developments this year, especially something with a 'hello world' program or something on the psp... but those weren't really important as I wasn't directly responsible for them.

I did look for a way I could contribute to the PSP development without getting my hands dirty with anything that could promote piracy (after the ps2ftpd/hdloader controversy), and with the help from ector, lkz, Neovangelist, JouniuM, ReJ, holger, jsgf, and many others we've uncovered how the hardware rendering works and have a quite solid support for it, and we are discovering new things still.

By holger & jsgf, providing a smooth highend interface for people to do rendering. I see this as the future interface for most when it matures (and looking at the current release of rRootage, it's well on the way), since it hides a lot of complexity that pspgu exposes.
