HI,
REAL noob here
I understand that the premise of this site is that it's possible to develop run your own programs on a PS2.
What happens next?
Supposing you've created a piece of software that you then want to sell, what is required?
How does the unmodified PS2 differentiate between a commercial piece of software and homebrew to decide whether it should boot from it? Is it as simple as getting the code stamped onto an original CD/DVD or is there some more complex process underway (certificates perhaps?)
I have an idea that might be interesting to develop, but if the code is continually stuck as homebrew then there's less incentive.
Hope you can help
Homebrew into distributable?
Without getting licensed by sony and getting a publisher you aren't going to get anything made that will run on an unmoddified PS2 (excluding the well known boot methods that don't require an actual mod, blah blah.. you know what I mean)
