hi all,
im new to ps2 homebrew and am planning on buying hdadvance and doing the exploit install thing, but i have a few small questions
1) is there a word processing piece of homebrew for the ps2, ive searched around but couldnt really find one
2)is there a homebrew web browser or is it just worth buying ps2linux for these 2 applications
3)when using programs like execftp is it possible to use a wireless adapter like this one:
http://www.netgear.co.uk/home_wireless_ ... ridges.php
rather than me having to buy extra hardware (i have a wireless network set up but my computer doesnt have a network card ;) )
thanx in advance

noob questions
tu2cool:
1) and 2) No, there are none of these applications (outside of ps2linux) that I know of.
Hmm, there may be a nano/MS edit type thing floating around that could sound familiar to me, but who knows - it may have been years ago and me getting confused ;)
No real reson why not, just that its not something that people seem generally need/want - one may as well just use a pc for these tasks. Although I imagaine this might change if ps2lua player takes off, folks may want to code/test their scripts using only ps2...
as for 3) yeah that should work. Before I got my network properly set up I had a wireless access point (in bridge mode) plugged into ps2, and was using the built-in wireless on my laptop to brigde with wired ethernet. The device you linked to seems to achieve a similar purpose.

hi again,
thanx guys 4 ur answers they really cleared a few things up.
firstly i think i may buy dslinux but not straight away, the main idea being that my sister and mum annoys me while im doing work or surfin the web
and of course the wireless adapter would be perfect as i dont have a network card and have a fairly large house
thank you for your answers
