Welcome

no

You can, but it's highly recommended you use Ethernet. (The USB tools aren't maintained, and have known issues)

Most free email sites are banned since we get a lot of spam from them.

Also, in the future use a more descriptive title, "???" isn't exactly a title....

To connect using USB you need a very specific USB-USB cable (one based on the PL2301 chipset) which will probably cost you more than a ps2 network adapter, and be much harder to find.
PS2 Side you need naplink, PC side you need some naplink client.

naplink hasn't been updated in about four years, its not open source, and not really supported by anybody. If you get problems running code with naplink, most people will tell you to try a different boot method.

If you do decide to use ethernet, you just need a sony ethernet adapter, some CAT5 cable, ps2link on the ps2 and a ps2link client (ps2client, etc).
