Strange upgrade problem

Post by Art »

Hi Guys,
This is long, sorry.

I recently took the plunge and upgraded the toolchain on my PC from
a version installed over a year ago :0
It was put it off for so long out of fear my existing programs would fail to compile.
I was wise, but it's not quite as bad as I feared, because I have a backup.

It's understandable that some PSP 'dirty hackish' stuff might have stopped working,
like display Brightness for example...

One question is.. I have a particular pure numbers routine that I'm in love with,
and want to marry some day. it calculates Sunrise and Sunset, and
worked beautifully until I did this, and now it's incorrect everytime, and
there's no obvious pattern to it's error that I can compensate for.
It requires input of time, time zone, and coordinates that I am sure it is getting.
I wonder what could have stuffed it up?

Also, not that I care, but out of curiosity, my current program previously
compiled to a 3.15Mb eboot, has display brightness function removed,
and now compiles to 3.17Mb. Strange it now adds .02Mb of fat.

Not so urgent now, as I copied over the needed files to get Cooleyes mp3
player working with my old toolchain.

Still curious though.
