PSP 1000 hardware troubleshooting
A few months ago, I dropped my PSP in a puddle of water, and it stopped working. I assumed it had shorted out, and so I bought a new one. Recently, I decided to try the Pandora battery on the broken one, and was amazed to find it worked! I was able to flash it no problem. However, the darn thing still won't turn on with a normal battery or power connected. It just dimly flashes the orange charging light. Any idea what parts I need to replace? I'm a poor SOB, so less is more. Perhaps I could simply remove the charging circutry? I just want to use this as a back up console for wifi gaming with friends.
You can get needed parts really cheap on dealextreme.com.They have worldwide free shipping, but you have to wait almost a week before they ship,or pay 12$ for ems shipping.Art wrote:It won't be too long before some modders break theirs and there are parts available on eBay.
It's def a keeper.
Lookout for a complete PCB daughter board, assuming it's still a multiple
PCB layout inside the slim.
