Putting an operating system on my ps2?
i don't want to "build" or do anything like that, i would just like to be able to run linux, mac, or windows, with a possible internet connection.
Thanks all, and might i say what an admirable site you host.
How would i go about...
really, theres no way around the whole, "not free" thing?
i have an operating system that i am not currently using.
(one i can burn onto a disc)
but thats as far as I've gotten, is there any "special" things that i must do, before i can just plop the disc into my ps2 and boot it up?
P.S. If it helps, i already have a way to boot unsigned code.

I didn't edit my post at all. If you see something different, you read it wrong the first time. :)
If you have a way to run stuff on the PS2, there's a thread on linux in the PS2 section that involves almost no building that you might try.

Read through that.
