PSP Slim options

Post by rex radar »

I'm looking at getting a PSP slim (200*). My main goal outside of playing Burnout is to use it as a PDA, Music box, and project tracking with spreadsheets and other more basic documents. Also if the above is all possible then I would also like it to use file types reconizable by Open Office.

I happen to live in a rural area, so I do not wish to use ports, but rather have the programs and files run within the PSP. The magical icing on the cake for me would be if it could handle Baldur's Gate 2 +TOB.

Is there a linux distro (uclinux, DSL) that can do the above? Can it be done in a timely manner, or would there be lag and fps issues? Are there hacks that already do the above without the linux or dos?

Most of the above aren't gonna happen. Sorry. You can play music, and play various games, but virtually nothing is gonna happen with handling files like OOO. There's a few basic text programs, but that's it. If you want a PDA that handles stuff like that, buy a PDA.
